Borderlands, by Gloria Anzaldua, has a connection between all of us. As for knowing part of our past, present, future can be related to most of her writing in many ways. Always having a sense of doubt can become consuming. As of growing up in with four older brothers and two parents, I was the baby of the house. Pretty much not questioning anything as to why it was not possible to do certain jobs around the house. In this book it brings great connections between finding relations to some of those times, and as well as others can relate from a different perspective. If the person ever questions who they are, then Borderlands has many ways to open a new world to challenge an individual maybe not in the way everyone expects, but has a greater foundation to feminism, identity, and the connection.

It depends on how the lens of the person is viewing what they identify as an individual. It can get complicated to be known as Mexican in the United States because of the way we are portrayed as being the minority. Then as a Mexican half, your soul is still on the other half where your parents traveled from initially, yet when traveling to Mexico makes us leave a part of our soul. As a part of the people who were born to speak Spanish as my native language, I find it beautiful, but there are those individual people who would try to stop us from saying anything in Spanish. Anzaldua brings in all the different changes that have happened to the Spanish language. The way we speak Spanish sounds off when someone else 's household speaks Spanish. Although it is the same language, the adaption has changed. If the person speaks Spanish, let them speak their language because it is a part of who they are. These laws like in Arizona should not define the person behind and certainly not push the individual to the wall. Just like being punished because the human being is Mexican is plain wrong. All these memories will stay within them and
