Field Journal One Field placement is an essential tool in the development of an individual’s professional life when transitioning from college to the professional world. The experience of field placement often gives students the knowledge of the chosen occupation or an opportunity to make decisions relating to their professional life. My field journal will entail what I learned from my field agency and the decent and debauched of the field placement. CSL has provided me with an intimate opportunity in helping clients address their barrier(s). The residential setting provides me a structured number of clients in daily living and how their mind-frame effects their barriers. This eye witness account allows me the opportunity to research the appropriate intervention when helping a client address their barriers. I have also experienced how a founder of an organization will help a consumer address barrier(s) compared to an employee or an intern. For instance, I witnessed the founder discussion making process for the consumer who pilfered the client medication. He stated after attempting to help the client with his barrier on repeated attempts he had to discharge the consumer. However, he stated discharge the consumer only after securing bedding at UMD or Durham Rescue Mission (DRM). More so, the intimate supervision with well critiqued information is knowledge that can be beneficial to my practice.
