After finishing off the book, I have learned that Christopher is truly an intelligent person, and holds so many good morals. 3. Literary element:
Haddon establishes a resolution for the whole book. Christopher had figured out who had killed Wellington, he found is mom on his own, and he got an A on his A-level math test. Christopher is satisfied and has accomplished what he needed to. “And I found my mother and I was brave and I wrote a book and that means I can do anything.”
During my time at Hillsdale, I have had challenges with writing conclusions. In this portion, I will be explaining how I struggled with composing conclusions in the subjects of English and Mathematics. In the essay about Simon’s death from Lord of the Flies analyzed, I had to analyze a passage from the novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding. The passage that I choose was the passage dealing with the death of Simon, the nice child.
A little bit about Christopher from the novel is “My name is Christopher John Francis Boone. I know all the countries of the world and their capital cities and every prime number up to 7,057” (Haddon 2). Christopher has Asperger’s Syndrome and has trouble communicating with other people. Another example of how Christopher is not an average teenager is when he often has his favorite dream.
The novel The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time distinguishes Christopher’s independence and autarchy by portraying Christopher communicating with individuals who made him apprehensive in the beginning of the novel, controlling his behaviour and lack of emotion in public, and his vast improvement of having certainty towards others. Mark Haddon, the novelist of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, is characterizing the liberation of young Christopher Boone with situations he feels nervous with, which is teaching readers that taking risks that you may be uncomfortable with will eventually lead to one’s happiness and

In The Glass Castle, Rosemary and Rex Walls display a very uninvolved parenting style due to the many occasions they have neglected their children’s’ needs and put them in harm’s way. Some of the signs of an uninvolved parent are when they neglect their children’s personal needs, lack of communication and do not have very many demands. (Cherry, The Four Styles of Parenting.) The Walls children are always and have always looked after themselves and found ways to survive. The kids are always hungry and in constant need of food, but they are left to fend for themselves.
In conclusion, Chris’s action in the novel The Boy in the Black Suit, by Jason Reynolds demonstrates his inquisitiveness and loyalty. He demonstrates inquisitiveness and loyalty because he continually treats Matthew’ normally’ and acts like an advisor to Matthew, even after Matthew’s mother death and his father
Family Family is a large part of The Color Purple. Alice walker says makes many points about various subjects, but her opinion on family is clear. Family is not defined by blood relation or marriage, or any traditional connection. This is very clear in The Color Purple, through the life of Celie and her journey as a person Celie is introduced as an abused child/mother of her Pa’s children.
The main character of this book, Christopher, looks up to him because he is a detective and throughout the whole book Christopher tries to solve a mystery. He will often look up to Sherlock Holmes for inspiration to help him solve the mystery of who killed the dog. Another allusion found in this book is when Christopher mentioned the book, "The HOund of the BAskervilles. " In the beginning of the book, Christopher writes, "She said it was usually the people who were killed in murder mystery novels. I said that two dogs were killed in The Hound of
Throughout the book Christopher overcomes all obstacles, big and small. Though some obstacles are small it still shows the reader that Christopher is willing to make the necessary changes for a positive outcome. One small obstacle that made a big impact on the readers
Though, when the killing of the neighbour's dog, Wellington occurs, Christopher's carefully constructive universe is threatened. Christopher's father, Ed Boone's temper is proven to have caused him to murder the dog and also lie to his son about his mother. When Ed confesses his crimes to Christopher, he refers to his temper metaphorically as "when that red mist comes down …". Haddon's realistic portrayal of family is shown to be destroyed as Ed's temper is what is undoing his relationship with Christopher. Haddon’s portrayal of Ed Boone allows him to represent interesting ideas about the family unit.
Christopher grew up without knowing much about the world and life it self. He acts as what many would say a child. This is due to his Aspergers. In the beginning of the novel Christopher explains what he thinks of life.
Raymond Carver’s short story “Popular Mechanics” was written in the minimalist style, but that didn’t stop him from using rich and full uses of imagery, symbolism and irony. Carver begins the story up by giving details on the weather outside than slowly comparing it to the drama going on inside his story. By using a mix of imagery and symbolism, the day gets darker as well as the story and gives off a feeling of melancholy. Though the communication is brief, Carver makes every word said important and meaningful. He uses irony throughout the entirety of “Popular Mechanics” and gets the purpose of the writing across while still adding emotion to the argument.

It has a question mark at the end, but you are not meant to answer it because the person asking it already knows the answer. (Haddon 81) This proves that the things that Siobhan helps him learn helps him in many situations and when to speak and what to say. All of this says how much help Siobhan has been to Christopher and why he does the things he does.
