When I was in the 3rd or 4th grade, maybe even younger, I got my first gaming console ever. The console that I got was a Playstation 2 (PS2) and I would play for long periods of time whenever I had the time or because I didn’t want to do my work. Whenever I got stressed or angry videos games would give me an outlet to either relax, have fun, or just to release the anger that I had. Aside from me just trying to relax or have fun, I saw video games as fascinating. The amount of things that you can do in and with videos games is just phenomenal. Being able to mess around and basically have fun in works of fiction and do things that you can’t do in real life is something that I always admired from video games. When it comes to games there are many different types of genres to choose from and I personally play a mix and match of games from many different genres, but if I had to choose then I would go with bullet hell/difficult games, like Cuphead and Dark Souls, and open world games, like Skyrim. Bullet hell or hardcore/difficult games are game that require fast reflexes and thinking in order to pass them, which is why they are so challenging, but that is why I enjoy them. The satisfaction that I get when I finally defeat the boss or move on to the next level is amazing. The other genre that I play is open world games and the main reason for why I play these types of games is because of how much you can do in them. No matter how much time you put into these types of games, there will always be something that you can do or never knew about. Additionally open world games also have a lot of story aspects built into them beside just the main and side quests/missions, which majority of the time you have to discover on your own by reading in game content or listening to
