“Remember Raquel” is told through the past and present thoughts of Raquel and those who knew her. Regret is the major emotion that drives everyone on what they should have said and done.
Their deeper emotions and feelings are revealed throughout the story, as well as their outlook on life and other people. Even though Raquel may be dead, she goes from unknown to popular and a model for those who she was around. Not only that, “Remembering Raquel” proves that you won’t realize that you miss or need someone until they are gone forever.

If others did not want to join her, she went alone and did not look back.
Aside from everything else, Raquel can be over dramatic. In her blog, she talks about how she be forever alone, becoming a cat lady, and how she’ll die. Raquel will post very negative things on her blog and her friends will see it; she will forget about all things that her friends have done for her and make negative comments towards them, which will cause a split in their friendship. For example, in her blog post, Raquel’s name is “Gylindrielle” and one of her friend’s name is
“Comet Girl”. Raquel had posted a statement in one of the blogs she posted saying that, none of her friends care about her. Comet Girl (who was once Raquel’s closets friends) get offended and they start to argue. Raquel has other moments were her feathers get ruffled over every little thing. In the beginning of the story Raquel Falcone is not respected, treated badly, and is not recognized. When everyone at school finds out about that she was hit by a car, they all regret the negative things they had said or done to her and wished that they had done.
