Without motivation the world would be a completely different place such as people wouldn’t care about anything, there would be less and less tasks getting done everyday, and much much more. With this the workplace becomes a happier place for everyone and helps employees focus on work and less on unproductive distractions. First thing for a employee to do the first week on the job is go around and meet the other employees and meet the manager. Like I mentioned above it is good to build a positive relationship with your boss and fellow workers. The second thing to feel connected to an organization the first 90 days for a new employee is to have positive neighbors where you live. If you get a job in a new town I think it can influence a lot to have positive neighbors because if you don’t you more than likely aren’t going to like where you live and probably end up not liking the new job you just got. Last thing is not a heavy work load at the start. You want to welcome a new employee to work so starting him or her off slow would be the best thing to do. The manager could sit the employee down and tell him or her what he expects out of them and start them off slow and gradually increase the work
