Zeitgeist is a mega-popular documentary about the New World Order and Illuminati, and is mostly based on conspiracy theories and unreliable information. Almost half of the film is dedicated to disproving Christianity as a pagan recreation of many other world religions. In his film, Peter Joseph claims that all religions are the same, and the only differences between them are changes with the characters and settings of the story. In order to do this, he compares all everything to the sun and the zodiac, and explains how everything is connected. However, even though his information may seem reliable and acceptable, he provides no sources or other materials to back up his claims regarding world religions. He uses a variety of verses from the Bible in order to back up his claims about Jesus being a recreation of sun mythology without putting any context behind them. There are many Christian sources and people who have recognized the incorrect information in this film and have debunked it in order to prove its illegitimacy and falsehood in regards to Christianity. The religious aspects of Peter Joseph's film, Zeitgeist, are illegitimate and incorrect because the facts are misconstrued and changed in order for him to make his point. One god that Joseph claims is the same as the God of Christianity is the Egyptian god of the sun, Horus. In his film, he claims that Horus's life contains many similarities to Jesus's life. Joseph claims the Egyptian God Horus was born on December 25th of the virgin Isis-Mary, accompanied by a star in the east at his birth, was adorned by three kings, had twelve disciples, was crucified, buried for three days, and resurrected. All of these points seem to correlate with the story of Jesus, however, the story of Horus presented in the film is
