The Renaissance and the Reformation were both at the beginning of the modern world. Humanism altered the views of education and writing during this time. Martin Luther reformed the church and started the protestant movement to protest the Catholic Church. The Reformation and the Renaissance are related so tightly because the Reformation was somewhat caused by the Renaissance. The Renaissance was the social changes in the fifteenth century that helped create an environment for the Reformation. The Renaissance spawned a movement called humanism that in turn started the Reformation.
