Renewable Energy in the United States By 2014, Renewable energy in the United States reached to the 13.2 percent of the local generated electricity, and 11.2 percent of total generated energy in the United States. All of these types of renewable energy sources are produced, but in variant amounts. Also, the policy of renewable resources are varies from state to another. California is a leading state in this field. Approximately 20 percent of California's electricity power comes from renewable sources, this percentage far higher than the US average.
Solar Energy in the United States By 2008, around 0.1% of the total energy supply in the United States came from solar sources, which is far below than other developed country such as Germen. Theoretically, the possibility to have more renewable energy is available. But in the practical field, the process is complicated, so it needs strong scientific and engineering progress. According to the Solar Energy Industries Association’s report, California is the first in the produced electrical power by solar energy. And respectively North Carolina, Nevada, Massachusetts, and Arizona. Photovoltaic (PV) is the most common used tool wit solar energy globally and in the United States too.

Hydroelectric power provided the largest contribution to the renewable energy supply in the United States. In other words United States’ renewable resources depends on this type more. By 2008, hydroelectric power produced around 2.5% of the total energy production in this country. One of the significant aspect for this type, that all produced energy through hydroelectric power is used for electricity generation, so in 2008, 6% of the electricity power came from this source only. The states with the largest hydroelectric generation are Washington, California, New York, Oregon and
