As the story continues, one of the reoccurring themes was love. Even though this novel seems to focus on the sorrow and seems pessimistic, love seems to be very obvious in these chapters. Amir's love of writing, Baba's love of his past life, and the improvement between Amir and Baba relationship. The most prominent example of love is found in Amir and Soraya relationship. Since the moment Amir met Soraya, he knew he loved her. Soraya seems to make Amir forget all the terrible thing of his past and finally focus on the present.
