Achilles: The Best Warrior

Achilles, the greatest Greek warrior. When Achilles was born his mother wanted him to be immortal, so she dipped him in the River Styx. She was holding him by only the ankle when she dipped him into the river, so she did not realize that his ankle was not dipped in. That then became his weakness that could kill him, his Achilles heel. He became so strong and fast. He was very athletic and at the age of six he could run as fast as a deer and catch it. He could also kill a lion and a wild boar with his bare hands. His mother and father were Peleus and Nereid Thetis, they were both mortal. They then disguised him as little girl and sent him someplace else. Odysseus finally uncovered his disguise after he had shown Achilles an array of weapons and armor which he was the only "girl" that was interested. Odysseus then took Achilles to Troy which he willingly wanted to go. Achilles had his own small army in the Trojan war they were called Myrimidons. They were all dressed in red and fought alongside Achilles. There he disguised again as a Undefeatable warrior. He took over 23 towns in Trojan territory including very important towns. In one town he took a woman as a prize. A woman named Briseis that he loved. Agamemnon, the leader of the Greeks, was forced by Achilles oracle's to take her away. He was enraged that they had done this and refused to fight in the war any longer. The war was going terrible and they offered him multiple item to come back and fight.
