Al Capone is known as one of the most famous gangster. The way he did things for a living and what he did through out his life is fascinating. He was a big public enemy.
Al Capone was born from a poor family in Brooklyn on January 17, 1899. He lived in poor house that was called a squalid tenement. At his school there was a lot of violence. Soon he got expelled because he hit a female teacher. He was only age 14. Later when he got older he moved to Chicago where he met Terro who was a gang leader. When Capone joined the gang some one in the gang didn't like him so they hit Capone across the left cheek with a knife or a razor which gave him the nickname "Scare Face". The first thing they did was hunting down rivalry gangs at gun point. After that they began robbing stores, doing shot outs, bounty hunting, and more. Capone soon raised to the top of being public enemy #1. Capone got arrested many times but he got away because of lack of evidence. The reason why there was a lack of evidence was because most of the stuff the gang did took place in the middle of the night when there was very little people around to witness.
Capone became so wanted that he would only travel at night and only traveled at day if absolutely necessary. He would also go every where with at least two body guards.
Later during a police chase Capone got separated from the gang. He started doing things by himself so he had to travel a lot so the police wouldn’t catch him. He moved al over the U.S. even coming to Edgewater and New Smyrna Beach and owning a house on river side. While in
Edgewater since his house was by the river he constructed a tunnel that goes under his house and out to the river so when the police shows up at his house he can escape through the tunnel and on a boat. After he left Florida he went to Chicago were he met Terro. Terro at the time owned a
