(Introduction)
Cats, one of life’s greatest mysteries. Well, it depends on the person. Some people just can’t seem to wrap their heads around why cats do things the way they do. In this podcast, we’ll cover some of the cat behaviours that baffle us all.
We’ll be going over purring, kneading, landing on feet, eating grass, and random biting.

(Purring)

Cats are known especially for their deep, rumblings called purrs. Purrs are practically synonymous with feline happiness.
Although cats purr when happy, they also purr to comfort themselves when they’re injured or in pain. Kittens learn how to purr within days of their birth. The purring allows the mother cat to know that her kitten is safe.

This is because purring happens in the respiratory cycle.
Internal laryngeal muscles are the source of the purring, along with the larynx and the neural oscillator.
But, exactly how a cat purrs is still one of science’s mysteries.

(Kneading)
Kneading, also known as “making muffins,” or “making bread,” is when a cat begins to massage with their paws.

Cats that fall from 5 or more stories often have a better chance of surviving than cats who fall from shorter heights because they have more time to correct themselves

(Eat Grass)

Many cats eat grass, but do you know why?
It can happen for lots of different reasons, but one of the most common reason is for a mineral or vitamin deficiency
Some cats will eat grass simply because they like the taste
Cats will also eat grass if they need to throw up to clear their stomachs of bones, fur, feathers, and parasites.

(Bite randomly)
Cats will often bite people seemingly out of nowhere.
This is usually because cats don’t like endless petting, like dogs do.
Biting can also be a sign of over-stimulation.
To cats, biting can be a sexual move.
When a cat is petted too much, it’s possible they will bite because of this.

(Ending)
Now you know why cats do the things they
