Martin Luther King Jr. Peaceful protest has set us on a path for generations now. The peace tactic he used was very empowering and remarkably successful. The fact that he is still celebrated and remembered today shows just how much of an impact he made on this world. Not only did he touch the people who were facing the struggles of oppression, but he touched people beyond that barrier. He was reaching out to the people who did not experience the same pain, struggle, and heartbreak people of color experienced. Martin Luther King's words were powerful. Now if I were put in some of these peoples shoes, I may have thought that violence could have been the answer, but it is not. Violence will never solve anything, it never has. Throughout all the hardships these people endured, Martin Luther King never failed to say that violence was not the key. In Dr. King’s legacy, it states, “Dr. King maintained a vision for a more diverse America where all people enjoyed the benefits of equality. He just had to do the pushing of faith to keep the people up. The people who used their ruthless ways and tore people apart would only be the ones who ended up falling.
