The shooting at Columbine Hight School created a nationwide shock and horror for all people that watched the news clips. I remember going to school and not being allowed to carry our backpacks to school. The girls had to have a clear see through purse to be able to carry their personal belonging. The two shooters that were involved in the massacre at that school were Eric Harris (18 at time of shooting) and Dylan Klebold (17 at time). Although, it may seem like an easy fix to just implement gun control laws into our society to eliminate gun violence, but it is important to note that Americans own nearly half of all firearms globally, which is roughly 325 million guns;

Others say it is our right for Americans to own guns and something the founding fathers considered important to put in the Bill of Rights. The number of firearm sales has risen with the number of mass shooting many Americans question if banning guns or certain guns could help decrease the number of gun violence deaths.
