Do what in remembrance of me?
In 1 Corinthians 11 Jesus is sitting, partaking of the Lord’s Supper with his disciples when he says the statement “Do this in remembrance of me.” But what exactly is Jesus asking his disciples to do? He is commanding them to eat the bread and drink the cup in remembrance of him. As Christians we use this verse often in the context of partaking in communion. However, this is a statement that we should use throughout our daily lives. Not only should we live our life in remembrance of him, but we should also remembrance the sacrifice he made for our sins. What exactly are we doing in remembrance of Jesus? Everyday as we take up our cross and follow Jesus, Luke 9:23, we should serve, worship, and love all in remembrance of him.

Matthew 20:28 says “Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.” Aside from Jesus, one of the greatest servants mentioned in the bible was Paul.
