I believe that resources should be available for serviceman and their families the moment of an oath is taken, during their tour of duty, and when they return back to their normal life. Although there are many resources and support out there for military serviceman/woman and their families, accessing and finding the right resources for them is the hard part. For example, when I was doing part one of this assignment I found it difficult to find resources specifically for a serviceman, spouse, and children. To be honest, it took me a very long time to find resources that were relevant and helpful for veterans and active duty serviceman. I am not sure if it’s because it was my first time researching for these resources or there were not as many resources out there than I thought. I thought that this website was very useful because it allowed serviceman and their families to find resources that are available to them installation (Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coastguard, etc.) or by a state. If they were looking for a specific programs or services, this website also gave them that opportunity to that and also by zip code. When I was using this website, I found it very helpful because I wanted to find a military base in Los Angles California near where I live and I came across the Los Angles Air Force Base near the LAX airport, which was down the road from where I live and I had no idea that there was a military base there. This website gave me an overview of the population and resources available for serviceman and families who live on this base, such as programs for youths, schools, child development center, therapist/counselor,
