Journey Counseling is a certified agency to provide anger management, domestic violence, and drug and alcohol treatment. Furthermore, I am a Colorado certified addictions counselor, senior level, and hold a Masters in social work. I am also a state approved domestic violence treatment provider.
The patient has a twin brother 15 years and completed the electronic screening by himself. The results were negative for suicide ideation (C-SSRS), positive for mild depression (CAD-MDD, CAT-DI: 55.6), positive mild for anxiety (CAT-ANX: 43.1), positive elevated for mania/hypo mania (CAT-M/HM: 52.4), positive for tobacco and illegal drugs in the past year (NIDA assist). In the article, “What You’ll Do Next”, written by David Brooks. The writer talks about how data is collected and the different ways it is used now in the world. He also starts to talk about his main purpose of this article and tells us that people now are using data collected to predict human behavior. Brooks believes that although data is useful, it’s not useful for human behavior. That he also believes people shouldn’t let data tell them what personal decisions to make.

While interviewing school counselor, Melissa Gomes from Friendship Southeast Elementary Public Charter School, I was able to obtain a lot of information pertaining to a school counselor’s profession. Although, I have acquired plenty of information about a school counselor occupation throughout the last year and half of attending Trinity, the interview was very beneficial and knowledgeable. Ms. Gomes gave great insight that allowed for a better understanding of a school counselors role. Ms. Gomes was kind enough to answer several different questions pertaining to her role and responsibilities as a school counselor. I want to be a part of the Cougar Counseling Team because I think I would be a valuable asset to the team. I want to help spread positivity and help others through their college experience to make their time at College of Charleston enjoyable. I like to think I am a positive role model who can encourage and support others who seek out help. I have always been the friend that others seem to come to when they need someone to express their feelings. When my friend recommended that I should be a part of the team, I did research on what the team did in the college community and instantly wanted to be a part of this ground-breaking team.

A Case Study with Case Formulation and Counselling skills for Children Formulation is one of the core skills practiced by psychologists. The development and maintenance of the client's problems and needs are elicited through a framework drawn on from psychological research and practice. It integrates knowledge acquired through assessment using 'psychological, biological and systemic factors and procedures'. Formulation may involve many hypotheses by drawing on various theoretical models, and provides a foundation for the development of the appropriate psychological intervention (DCP 2010 cited in DCP 2011). Before one must speak of how counselors impact students and their future decisions, one must have a grander scheme of something none as the counselor ratio. The ratio was establish as the ideal number of students to one counselor which stands at 250 students for one counselors. However due to increased population nationally schools have become overcrowded and these ratios can not be reached. A survey conducted by the ASCA as of 2015 the average student to counselor ratio stands at “ 482-to-1 in 2014-15, compared with 491-to-1 the previous year. Although the national average has decreased, it’s still nearly twice ASCA’s recommended ratio of 250 students per school counselor.
