During the year 1781 in Charlottesville, Virginia, three men discuss the following events of the last battle of the Revolutionary War four days before the event. 5:38 pm - Charlottesville, Virginia “Alexander sir, would it trouble you to come in here for a moment?” Washington asked, waiting for an answer. Hamilton replied “Not at all, what can I help you fine gentlemen with?”. Next to George Washington stood and young patriot who was eager to ask a few questions about the upcoming battle. “Hi Alexander, I am William Thomas ll, and I have come here today to ask you a few questions about the battle that will fall upon us in a few short days. “Burr, how dare you interrupt our conversation like this, please wait in the hallway while we finish our chat! Now!” Washington shouted all enraged. Burr responded “Wow sir! I have never heard you use the word chat before.”. “Just go.” Washington said, ending the conversation. Burr obediently left the room with a sly smirk on his face. Alexander continued “Now, William, is there anything else I can possibly help you with?”. “Not in the slightest, I know everything I need to. Thank you!” William concluded. Washington went to politely open the door for him, but when Burr heard the conversation come to a stop, he opened the door as quickly as possible. William was very intrigued to hear was Burr had to stay so he asked if he could stay to listen. “Mulligan has finally given us the location of where the British soldiers are hiding. They are staying at a small camp in the city, Yorktown.” Burr said with a rasp in his voice. Washington was thrilled and was ready for what was to come next.
