Brian Deer 's article implements a subjective tone when confronting A.J Wakefield 's research. This tone of approach varies from common medical research journals because the arguments do not simply depend on factual based assertions. Like most research journals, any implications are supported by academic/peer reviewed sources. Brian Deer 's article however includes evidence and research collected through his own work; he actually questions and interviews the parents of the children diagnosed with this so called "new syndrome"(Deer 201). The key thing to note here is that all evidence collected on his own is likely to include biases.
Jaynie Duran Mrs. Esparza AP Language Period 5 10 March 2023 Rhetorical Devices in Angela’s Ashes The author, Frank Mcourt uses rhetorical devices such as symbols, repetition, point-of-view, and themes to help illustrate the book's purpose, which is to highlight significant life events that he experienced when he was younger that helped him develop to the man he became later on in life. A memoir called “Angela's Ashes” discusses Frank’s early experiences with poverty during the Great Depression, his parents' drug and alcoholism addiction, Catholic beliefs system, and lower class struggles that he had to face when he was younger. In the title “Angela's Ashes'' the word ashes symbolizes lack of hope and life destruction.
I do agree with Joe Turnbull’s essay, and I also understand why Shepard Fairey keep continuing his artwork even though it might have raise so many ethical questions. Even though, the artists reserve the right to be able to express themselves within his/her artworks, the artwork should be within the range of appropriation. Fairey’s stickers should’ve been more in the private or not as common as door to door public for those people who actually support the theme of his work. Fairey also an artist that do not need to make more name but people still want more, according to Turnbull’s essay, Fairey was “reported net worth of $15 million” (Turnbull pg9/15).

TED is one of the non-profit organizations that does help to share different ideas of different people to the world through their persuasive talk. Sir Ken Robinson, in his Ted Talk, discusses how systems of public education disregard the creativity as it is an important factor related with the growth of students, academically. Robinson does focus on the creativity by arguing through different examples, which does make audience, and other viewers to think on this issue and take action which is being ignored by public education system. The use of pathos, ethos, and logos while his talk regarding creativity in school makes the case of education system entertaining and understand, by giving proper examples with the use of humorous tone.

The use of rhetoric allows for a deeper connection to be made between the orator and the audience, thus, allowing the text to convey ideas that engage audiences then and now. Comparing two speeches by Paul Keating and Anwar Sadat it is shown how the proper use of rhetoric can create a memorable text, which can transcend time and engage all audiences but also displays the negative impact the improper use of rhetoric can have on a speech. Paul Keating's Redfern Park Speech, presented in 1992, was delivered during a time where Aboriginal's were experiencing hostility, racism and prejudice.
“You Are Not Special” presented by David McCullough, Jr. This was a graduation speech presented in front of the graduating class of Wellesley High School. McCulloch presented this informative speech to let all the seniors at WHS what the real world is really like. McCullough goes off stating that this class of graduating class is not special at all.

To strengthen his speech, Reynolds uses past personal experiences and the comparison of objects to others to help prove the theme portrayed throughout the speech.

It allows readers to gain a better understanding of the characters. Arthur Miler, the author of The Crucible, highlights the importance of mass hysteria through rhetorical appeals. John Proctor, the tragic hero is a loyal, honest, and kind-hearted individual.
Pitts Article Rhetorical Analysis – Final Draft In life people try to comfort others in times of grieving. Leonard Pitts comforts his readers in his article, “We will go forward from this moment ” by trying to make since of the 9/11 attack. Pitts uses emotion and logic to persuade the Americans that the terrorists can do what they want to America, but America is tough enough to handle it.

Warren Mundine AO Reconciliation is the action of making one view or belief compatible with another according to the Oxford dictionary of English. The term reconciliation was used as a symbolic gesture in an address made on February 13th 2008 by the former Prime Minister of Australia, Kevin Rudd. Kevin Rudd was the first political figure to speak out and seek reconciliation for the Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders after being elected as prime minster in 2007. He spoke out after many generations of mistreated Indigenous Australians that had their rights and equality continuously ignored, but after all that has happened, including the effect of broken families, which still in 2018 have the aftermath of "The stolen generation", there was only one public apology and no compensation for the damages caused to the native people of this country.
In this passage, Charlotte Perkins Gilman highlights the theme that women must use their intellect or go mad through the use of literary qualities and writing styles. Gilman also uses the use of capital letters to portray the decline in the narrators’ sanity. This shows the decline in the sanity of a person because the words in all-caps is shown as abrupt, loud remarks. Gilman uses this method multiple times in her short story and this method was used twice in this passage. When the narrator wrote, “LOOKING AT THE PAPER!”, the major decline in her mental health was shown.
