Donald J. Trump became the 45th President of the United States on January 20th, 2017. The president presented the 16-minute inaugural address to the citizens of the United States on Friday, January 20, 2017, in Washington, D.C. Though the speech was dedicated to his gratitude for the election as a president, it was performed in unusually dark and gloomy tone compared to the addresses of previous presidents who tended to use optimistic, positive tone. The 45th President performed his inaugural speech on the West Front of the United States Capitol Building in Washington, D.C.
