Let's talk division, but the mathematic function; the way ideas, people, beliefs are split up. Looking back into American history the most divisive war held was the Civil War. Fighting against ourselves only because the pigment of our skin was different. Gander back into American history and even though it may not have been a war with blood and fighting, the struggle for women's rights was the second most divisive war. 150 years after the Constitution was written and signed women gained rights. We––as Americans—are lucky enough to have had our rights won for us as women. Still to this day other countries are not that fortunate. She used different techniques to cause this effect. One of those being repetition. She felt strong about the way women are being treated. Her voice strong and lessons being repeated her message was put across. "It is a violation of human rights when women are doused with gasoline, set on fire, and burned to death because their marriage dowries are deemed too small." Seven continuous paragraphs starting with "It is a violation..." the repetition used adds effeteness to the issues and harms women are dealing with in their lives. "I want to speak up for mothers who are fighting for good schools, safe neighborhoods, clean air, and clean airwaves; for older women, some of them widows, who find that, after raising their families, their skills and life experiences are not valued in the marketplace; for women who are working all night as nurses, hotel clerks, or fast food chefs so that they can be at home during the day with their children; and for women everywhere who simply don’t have time to do everything they are called upon to do each and every day." The repetition used in this quote is showing her love for all of them women in the world. Hillary states women of different precessions, what they do in life besides their jobs, what they want for their families. Meaning that these women in the world are all in one the same.
