Kailash Satyarthi, joint winner of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize, displays his passion for children early in his speech by giving examples of his encounters with children who have suffered tremendously. This appeals to the audience emotionally as he goes on to describe his conversations with them. Throughout the speech, Satyarthi gives more examples of the severity of the situations these children are facing. He delivers a powerful message of hope, his refusal to accept the government’s inability to protect children (pg.3) and ends with a call to action.
