In the story the characters all try to persuade one another to do to what one believes is right. Antigone begs her sister Ismene for help burying their brother which isn’t allowed to be buried. Ismene is afraid of the consequences yet Antigone doesn’t care about which gets her in serious trouble. Haimon tells his father Creon that killing Antigone is a mistake and that he should try to listen to advice because he doesn’t know everything.Teiresias told Creon the same things as Haimon, but he has to make everything right because he will regret what 's in stored for him.
