it is called 'termination of pregnancy'. There are two types of abortion treatment, 'Medical' and

'Surgical' abortion. Medical abortion makes use of the abortion pills. Some women feel that a

medical abortion is a more natural process. While surgical abortion involves a quick, minor

a margin of more than 2 to 1 on the op-ed pages of most of the nation's major daily newspapers.

Overall coverage of abortion tends to be presented, perhaps subconsciously, from the abortion-

rights perspective. The reasons why women have abortions are diverse and vary across the

world. Some of the most common reasons are to postpone childbearing to a more suitable time or

to focus energies and resources on existing children. In addition to this, being unable to afford a

child either in terms of the direct costs of raising a child or the loss of income while caring for

the child, the lack of support from the father, inability to afford additional children, desire to

provide schooling for existing children, disruption of one's own education, relationship problems

with their partner, a perception of being too young to have a child, unemployment, and not being

willing to raise a child conceived as a result of rape or incent ,are all the sensitive causes of this

because minority women "have much higher rates of unintended pregnancy."

Relating these reasons to the over representation of abortion rights in the media gives a more

focused image. Various conservative politicians and now a corporate consultant contends that,

"the culture in the newsrooms just assumes that abortion is right”. When the networks broadcast

an abortion story, the backdrop has often been the large word "abortion" with the first "O" in the
