Ricardo Leyva Muñoz Ramírez, AKA Richard Ramirez was a serial killer and rapist operating in the L.A. and San Francisco area, from 1984-85. He was called the night stalker by the news media and was one of the most vicious killers in U.S. history. Richard Ramirez’s early life was pretty good, even had his dad as a role model. Till he got hooked on drugs, then he found a new role model. His cousin Mike who was vietnam veteran decided to show some polaroid photos of people he’s killed, but not on duty.

Dave Thomas opened his own restaurant on November 15, 1969 he named it after his 8-year old daughter Wendy. In 1989, Thomas took on the rare of television spokesman for the company with a series of hungry successful commercials. Dave Thomas was born Rex David Thomas on July 2, 1932 in Atlantic city New Jersey .
Solomon Radasky was born in Warsaw, Poland, on May 17, 1910. He worked in the Praga district of Warsaw with the family business of making fur coats. He had 2 brothers, 3 sisters, and a mother and father who lived in the same area as Solomon. He remembers that whenever a Jewish holiday came in his town, the stores closed for the day and everyone celebrated the Jewish holiday. In his early 30’s, the Nazis began to force many Jewish families, along with the Radasky family, into the newly established ghettos.
Dave Trott is the U.S. House Representative of Michigan (District 11). Dave was born on October 16th, 1960. He is married and has three children. Both of Dave’s parents were former lawyers. He received his BA at the University of Michigan 1977-1981.
Ralph Dale Earnhardt I chose Ralph Dale Earnhardt, a famous NASCAR racer who won 7 Winston cups for my research. He was born on April 29th, 1951, in a town called Kannapolis, North Carolina. He sadly died doing what he loved on the Daytona race track at the age of 49 on February 18, 2001. I chose him because I loved to watch his aggressive racing style on video clips.
Born in Sydney, Australia in 1973, Ben Quilty became an Australian icon, establishing himself in different occupations such as an Australian artist and social commentator. Some of his most prestigious wins are the 2014 Prudential Eye Award, 2011 Archibald Prize and the 2009 Doug Moran National Portrait Prize. As a young child Quilty grew up in Kenthurst, in Sydney's north-west. Quilty now lives and works in Robertson, New South Wales.
African American abolitionist William Howard Day was born October 16, 1825 in New York City. William was raised by his mother, Eliza and father John. Day mother Eliza was a founding member of the first AME Zion church and an abolitionist. Day father was a sail maker who fought in the War of 1812 and in Algiers, in 1815, and died when William was four. As a child William mother gave him away to a white ink manufacturer who advocated the abolitionist and temperance movement.
The Most important events happened in London, England and Paris, France (1775-1790). A major event that happened in London, England was the bad court system that they had. It shows how bad the court system is by how they charged Charles Darnay with treason. Treason is when you betray your own country and/or when you try to kill someone from that country. The public assumed that he’s felonious of betraying the country so Darnay goes on trial to show that he’s not guilty.
Lastly, Vrabel asserts that Boston’s mayors “cultivated ethnic and class conflicts” (6), which undermined development in Boston. Ultimately, these factors spurred Bostonians to action to change Boston. On November 8, 1949, Boston elected a new mayor, John Hynes. He saw the damage the previous mayor had done in alienating businesses from settling in Boston and worked for change. Hynes did so by “streamlining city government and reducing the waste and corruption” (8).
Gary Leon Ridgeway was born on February 18th, 1949 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and is known to be one of the most infamous serial killers in American history. His nickname was “The Green River Killer” because he was known to dump many of the bodies in the wooded areas around the Green River (formally named the Duwamish River) in Washington State. He was convicted of 48 separate murders, but one more was added to that number as part of a plea bargain. Making 49 confirmed kills the most of any American serial killer ever. At one point he confessed to almost twice as many kills.
Many people wander about the north pole. Everyone knows that someone discovered it, but what you don 't know is that one of the two discoverers is very important to black history, Matthew Henson. He was the first African American explorer to go to the North Pole. Matthew Henson is important to black history because he was one of the first famous black explorers. His past is inspiring ,he discovered the north pole, he didn 't get noticed until 5 decades later
A city that didn’t need a civil rights movement, Richard Daley was not the man to go to, for civil rights reform. Royko mentions multiple times Daley’s distain for the blacks. A staunch catholic, not even the nuns or priests he held in high regard could sway his opinion on reform (140). He willfully ignored police brutality of all races/ethnicities, not white, except when he was forced to, in the face of Martin Luther Kings’ celebrity. That being said, Daley did need the blacks. He needed their votes and for that he needed them to stay where they were, “he was maintaining black dependency – always a tenant never an owner, not quite a citizen” (148).
Wes Montgomery is an American jazz guitarist, who was born on March 6th 1923. During his career he was extremely influential throughout the jazz community. Unlike many musicians, Montgomery started playing music at the late age of 19. He had no formal training, having to teach himself the craft of guitar.
The Legend of Takoda Sly Fox was always slipping away from his tribe. He was known for disappearing, often for hours at a time. The great chief and his father, NAME never knew where he was, but he knew his son was safe, although only 12. The boy was very skilled, he could make fire with just a few sticks, he could build himself a shelter, but he was known all through the tribe for his amazing bow-and-arrow skills. His father, of course, was the one to teach him all of this, for he had to know if he were to be chief one day.
