Nixon wanted to end the war just like every other American. He had many plans for this war and one of them was called Vietnamization. Vietnamization was a policy that would replace U.S. troops with South Vietnamese troops and supply them with supplies and weapons (Rubel 182). It was a way to retreat U.S. troops and end involvement in the war. Even though he ended involvement in the Vietnam War by withdrawing U.S. troops, he decided to bomb enemy forces in Cambodia (Lillegard 71).
With the US military helping South Vietnam against the North Vietnam. The South Vietnam didn’t not feel like they had support under the Western’s power, which South Vietnam didn’t because Nixon was trying to help the South Vietnam, but no involving US soldiers to fight in the war. Although, Nixon made the Vietnamization policy to stop US involvement it cause more of a uprise for the US position in the war. The New Economic policy and Nixon Doctrine both policies made by Nixon was only towards his presidency and not actually stopping the US involvement. Nixon said it would make a change in the US involvement to better but instead Nixon didn’t follow up upon his campaign promises.
In the novel “The Great Gatsby”, F. Scott Fitzgerald, uses the imagery of color throughout the book. Social classes, emotional states,and racial slurs, all reflect back on the many different colors that are used throughout the book. The colors are used repeatedly as symbols, and shades to develop the mood and tone In different scenes of the novel. The color white is a symbol of being clean and fresh, on the contrary it could also be very tainted like the color black. Green is the ruling color in the book which represent confidence and hope.
United States v. Nixon and Clinton v. Jones should have had the same outcome from the Supreme Court. Both, former President 's violated the law and wanted to use presidential privileges to dismiss their cases. In the United States v. Nixon, the Court had the right to order the President to relinquish the tapes to Congress to use as evidence for the trial against the seven members held accountable. Those accused were owed a duty by the Court to be given a fair and speedy trial. In the Clinton v. Jones case, the Court should have not granted the former President Clinton immunity because the general public needs to realize that not even the President can violate the law and get away with it.

The United States did not agree with the spread of communism so they sided with South Vietnam. The U.S happened to get involved due to wanting to stop the war because they didn’t want it to spread. It impacted the world due to it being the first war to become televised and people were upset because people were dying.

A popular belief during this time was the domino theory, which stated that if a country fell to communism, the surrounding countries would also fall. Therefore, the United States began sending aid to the South Vietnamese in order to resist the communist North. However, this quickly escalated into more and more troops being supplied, and the Vietnam War began to take shape. The Vietnam War would be marked by failure in both military and political leadership, angering the American public at every turn.

Another goal was to transfer military responsibilities, he wanted to slowly transfer military responsibilities to South Vietnam. The goal was to build up South Vietnam's army so they could defend themselves during a takeover. Some of the results were the mixed outcomes, some progress was made, but this process faced many challenges, including the extra military in South Vietnam were not able to prevent the fall of Saigon and this resulted in Vietnam under communist rule.

The troops were poorly armed and on average fought 240 days a year when compared to WW2 with only 40 days a year for infantrymen.

Dwight Eisenhower began the United States' involvement with the Vietnam War by creating the Southeast Asia Treaty Organization to help squelch communist uprisings in the area. With conflicts growing between the Communist North Vietnamese and the anti- Communist South Vietnamese the U.S sent the first troops in 1965 to aid in stopping the spread of Communism. Even after 41 years of the war being over people still debate the legality of the vietnam war. Some say under the international laws of war it was legal and just for America to intervene with the conflict.

Protest: This was supposed to be a nonviolent peaceful anti-war protest. In April 1970 the US invaded Cambodia and widened the Vietnam War the invasion of Cambodia that was designed to attack the headquarters of the Viet Cong, which had been using Cambodian territory as a sanctuary. This was announced on the television and radio by President Nixon. But the events of what happened that day is not what anyone had expected.
