Natural Born Leaders
There are many movie characters that hold great standings, but then they are fewer characters that possess a reputation that is erected on just moments that would reflect on how I feel about myself and as a person who is resourceful and a natural born leader who protects the weak there is only one who exemplifies this great character in me. Rick Grimes: from The Walking Dead, Is the character from a movie that I chose because of some of his great qualities to lead people and being resourceful? In addition; Rick Grimes took an oath to protect the innocent; his character plays a former sheriff deputy who overcomes many obstacles. I am very authentic especially when the situation comes to my family and their safety after nine eleven, I finally opened my eyes and realize how much the world has changed and I’ve notice how drastically I changed my mindset and they way I look at things around me, just like Rick Grimes in the Walking dead he looks at the world in a different way that gradually changes who he is which leads him into a darker side. We are both driven by a great sense of duty and obligation to our family, which gradually takes us over the borderline and this fills and obsession for us to do right. Simultaneously, this leads us to produce two ironclad transformations from a naïve good old boy to a strategic bad ass that is ready to face the fear directly in the eye and annihilates those who want to destroy it. Having faith and belief on what I believe helps me control the fear that would cripple and devastate me from accomplishing what needs to be performed, especially when things comes down to the safety of others including the ones I love. The Calvin Trillins poem has a verse that inspires me. “What made them brave / enough to say the way to save/ their countries was to change the game? / It’s in their hair, or lack of same. / The theory’s this: if you have hair, / your blood takes vital fluids there, / Which otherwise you’d use to fuel / the will that made you born to rule” (lines 5-12). Being able to be a natural born leader who could use the resources around him to ward off your enemy and protect those who are unable to protect themselves. Nevertheless, always remember that trust needs to be earned and not given freely that’s when wrong decision is made in life, being a natural born leader you must use all the resource around you to make the proper choices from one place to another or you’ll be left behind and unable to take care of those who rely on
