The start of Islamic conquest coincided with the fall of the Byzantine era of the Roman Empire, which was conquered by the Ottoman Turks. The failure of this empire made the Syrian and Egyptian territories less loyal to the Christian religion, due to the decrease in occupation by Romans. These territories did not like the presence of the Romans in their societies, as it was a source of religious persecution. The people of these areas then became Arabic Nomads, or Bedouin. These Bedouin people were religiously divided; some worshipped many local gods while others had influences of Christianity and Judaism. These nomads formed a bond with the men of trading towns like Mecca and Medina. This bond among nomads eventually came from a common belief
