Robbie J, a 19-year-old single Caucasian male. His income and community description is not applicable. He is living with his parents, and is a first-year college student. He has been referred because he has started drinking again and lack motivation. He is currently in family counseling with a social worker on the rehabilitation team. He stated that he suffers from a significant brain injury he received from a car accident 6 months ago caused by drinking and driving. He describes how the brain damage he endured has affected his impulse control and decreased his short-term memory and ability to concentrate.

He is currently seeking rehabilitation for a brain injury due to a car accident. The type of medication is not applicable. His impulse control is affected, and his short-term memory and ability to concentrate has decreased. He is also emotionally unstable, and has lost pleasure in leisure activities. Muscle weakness has also affected his right side, and he has a hard time remembering and expressing himself. Legal concerns and other environmental or psychosocial factors are not applicable. Robbie J displays a drive to take responsibility for his care, and he is a sociable young man. Despite Robbie J’s short-term memory loss, frustration, and difficulty concentrating, he is intelligent, and he has a strong support system.
