Created in 1981, this study has several implications for human addicts. It demonstrates the importance of support and a strong community around the addict during their treatment process. If placed at the Pioneer Treatment Center, Mikayla would be able to have the support of myself, my husband and our friends as she continues to focus on her sobriety. She would be able to work on having a positive, useful life, while gaining the support of loved ones as she finishes out court-ordered rehab and job training. I run a content business from home, so I would be able to visit as often or as little as the treatment center

He has worked at Consejo in the SUD program since 2005. He first started as a chemical dependency professional trainee (CDPT), working with youth at risk for almost 3 years. Then, Marco became a chemical dependency professional (CDP), working with youth for 2 years. This paper will provide a synopsis of the interview that I did to Marco Sauri with purpose of having a better understanding on how Consejo provides SUD treatment to its clients.
At this time the client presented with a readiness to change and is highly motivated to receive treatment at MRFH. The client was diagnosed with Alcohol Use Disorder: Severe, and Cocaine Use Disorder: Severe. The client stated, "I am pretty much homeless and I left the Salvation Army after I was about to get into the Step Up Program. There were so many drugs at the Salvation Army. I want to learn more about myself and my addiction.
It is the sponsor’s duty to not only help their sponsee work through the 12 Step Program (which is a part of the program which originated from the organizations sister organization: Alcoholics Anonymous, or as it is more commonly known, AA), which is the primary tool used by Narcotics Anonymous to help recover from drug abuse, but to also be a supporter for their sponsee and talk them through any issues that they may have that might cause them to relapse and return to drug abuse. This system of central organizations, chapters, home-groups, and the sponsorship strongly lean towards the Structural-Functional Theory of Sociology. The Structural-Functional Theory states that society is a complex systems whose parts work together to promote solidarity and stability, such as a bureaucracy or car engine. The multi-layered organizational structure of the Narcotics Anonymous drug recovery program more than fits the criteria for this specific
Hindus are known into believing the cycle of death and rebirth which is known as Samsara, they see all life as a cycle. Samsara is a belief that there is a continual passing process that a soul from one body moves to another. Though its not believed that the soul goes to heaven or hell, it is reborn into another body. Basically the soul repeats in a birth and death cycle or reincarnation cycle seeking for liberation. It is believed that Samsara is a way of punishment to represent the way of life.

“Medicaid is the single largest payer for mental health services in the United States and is increasingly playing a larger role in the reimbursement of substance use disorder services” (Medicaid. org, 2015). The Affordable Care Act addressed the need to provide care for those suffering from mental health illnesses or substance abuse by introducing Medicaid Expansion. Medicaid Expansion would offer coverage to an additional 30% of uninsured American suffering from mental illness (Nami.org, 2015). Mental health continues to be the “black sheep” of health care.
There is little research on recovery treatment with effective outcomes for the Hispanic community. Having more research that focused on the Hispanic community and their needs as they participate in substance abuse treatment can be beneficial to inform counselors, agencies, and the general population on how to better serve the Hispanic community. To add up, Amaro et al. (2006) suggested that more funding should go to research dedicated to producing scientific evidence about treatment of substance use in the Hispanic community. In
Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and Substance Use Disorders (SUD) each involve symptoms that can be rather debilitating. Approximately one half of the individuals diagnosed with a severe mental illness such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder experience co-occurring substance use issues (Brunette et al., 2008). Individuals with a dual diagnosis of SMI and substance use are particularly vulnerable with complex service needs (Tsai et al., 2009). As a result of the high prevalence and serious consequences of these disorders, there is an increasing need for comprehensive treatment options to simultaneously address both issues.
The samsara theme in Hinduism deals with the cycle of life and reincarnation. In Hindu and Buddhist practice, samsara is the endless cycle of life and death from which believers seek liberation (Berkley Center, n.d.). In the Hindu religion believers think that how you live in your current life will determine how you will be reborn or reincarnated. After death occurs it is believed that a person can be reincarnated in the form of a human, an animal or other beings depending on how they lived in the past life. Because past lives affect future ones, a person is never sure about their reincarnation and the suffering that might accompany it because of past actions.
As I progress in my career, I feel that it is important to develop a personal style and technique that clients can relate to. I am also interested in learning more about assessments and evaluations as they drive the rehabilitation plan. While I have assessed hundreds of clients, I realize that there is more to learn. For instance, the trend over the next five years will be an increase in applicants who receive state-plan home and community based services. The Final Rule issued by The Center for Medicare and Medicaid will require that individuals receive services in the most integrated settings.
Samsara vs Biblical Hell Birth, Oldness, Sickness and Death is an unavoidable and endless cycle of life that no one could escape. Whether you were born a prince or a mendicant, eventually you will die somehow and someway. No matter how hard you are trying to run a way from it, at last those cycles will run after you and you have to face with it. No man is not going to live on earth and have a happy and healthy life forever, one day those things will fade and it is only your soul that lasts.
The initial screening tools as well as the assessment process will determine the level of treatment that is required for the client system. O 'Hare (2005) asserts that there are five major areas that are the emphasis on in the substance-focused assessment. These area of focus include identifying what substances are use, how much and how often; precipitating factors appear to be associated with problem usage; and consequences (acute and chronic) of substances use across physiological, psychosocial and health domains.
