I’m here today to support Andrew Jackson and persuade you’ll that he should be placed on the twenty-dollar bill. Jackson was the 7th president of the United States and was born near the border between South and North Carolina on March 15, 1767. Jackson was the third child his parents had. His father, Andrew, passed on as the aftereffect of a logging incident only a couple of weeks before the future president was conceived while both of parents were Scotch-Irish immigrants. In Speech to the Virginia Convention Patrick Henry uses many persuasive arguments in his speech and most of them are emotionally persuasive. Henry’s first line of his speech is an emotionally persuasive argument also! Patrick Henry writes: “Mr President: No man think more highly than I do of the patriotism, as well as the abilities, of the very worthy gentlemen who have just addressed the House. But different men often see the same subject in different lights; and, therefore, I hope that it will not be thought disrespectful to those gentlemen, if, entertaining as I do, opinions of a character very opposite to theirs, I shall speak forth my sentiments freely and without reserve” (Henry 122).
Our nation has exaggerated the fear of a piece of history for far too long and now it is the time to put forth some truth. The confederate flag has been a part of heritage since 1861 and has been to this day. People today see it as a flag of hatred, which is interesting because this did not start happening until now. There have been people who have shot and killed others because they said their intentions were based from the confederate flag, which is a material item that cannot make anyone do anything that they do not want to do unless they had their own cause. This flag is not built on a racist appeal it was to show that the southern side will take up for their selves when the northern side wanted an industrialized world.
“Now, for what you have all been waiting on. Please welcome our special guest, Abraham Lincoln. ” said James. (audience applauses as Abraham walks out onto the stage and takes a seat next to James)
When a flag is presented in a rival that brings hate and discontent to America it should be removed from being displayed. I strongly am offended of the Confederate flag and my opinion is a lot of others are also offended. The constant reminder of the mistreatment and enslavement of the black race is still being suffered by black people today. The confederate flag brings grief to my heart as my ancestors were subjected to slavery.
The entire political spectrum of the world seems amusing to me. Very Amusing. I feel as though I've been given, on a silver platter and gift wrapped, an opportunity to say "I told you so". Well, if he has, I'm not taking it.
We have all been through rough times, have we not? Sir Patrick Henry speaks of the tyranny of British rule, but is it really all that bad? If you were in the same position as our great King George, what else would you do? We started ourselves into a war that we were not prepared to fight on our own, and so the generous King provided us with soldiers to help win the battle. This war was very taxing on Britain—we are in great debt—and the King is merely trying to help us get out of the debt.
Ben Franklin made the darkness disappear, Michael made music we all wanted to hear, Lincoln made our freedom true, Da Vinci created art with purple and blue, Elvis was on every music station, Martin got rid of segregation, Shakespeare made plays that were not to be beat, Steve made the Apple, but not to eat, All of these people had something to prove, Making our world brighter with every move, They were anything but ordinary, With a lot of burden to carry, And you.

Braveheart is an epic film from 1995. It tells the story of the true events of William Wallace, a Scottish warrior who led his country in the first war of Scottish independence from England. Though the film has been remarked as inaccurate, William Wallace is not a fictional character. Throughout the film William motivates his conspirators and army men with wise sayings that eventually inspire them to act to culminate in these heroics. In this persuasive speech, Wallace speaks in a style that intends to move his audience to action, and as a result of his speech, he was able to rally the troops to fight.
