Robert Frost Real Story
Robert Frost made a huge impact on the Earth when he was born. Out of all the poets in the world Robert Frost is the one you want to know about. He never gave up and never said that he couldn’t do something, or that he was unable to do something. He is a great role model for people who are interested in poetry. There was many interesting aspects concerning Robert’s childhood, life, and growing career and that makes stand out as the most responsible for his groundbreaking writing style.
Robert was born on March 26, 1814, in San Francisco. He spent eleven years of his life in California, until his journalist father, William Prescott Frost, Jr., later died of tuberculosis in 1885. William was part of the newspaper and he

He lacked enthusiasm for school in his elementary years. He loved when his mother read to him when he was a child. Her influence introduced him to large selections of literature and from that he was inspired to become an excellent reader. Then Robert and his sister Jeanie went and lived with his grandfather in Lawrence Mass (Gerber). His whole family moved to New England after his father's death in 1885. Robert grew up having weak lungs. He was a bobbin boy in his grandfather’s mill. When he grew older he decided that he didn’t want to be a bobbin boy for his grandfather anymore, so he got a job in New Hampshire as a cobbler, he nailed heels to boots. His grandfather paid for his entry to the Lawrence High School (Schmidt 4-6). At age sixteen, he started to write poetry. He would read British poems for inspiration when he was creating a new poem (Gerber). While being at the Lawrence High School he was a class poet (Brodsky). Robert and his soon to be wife graduated with honors in 1892. His poems were praised by critics, and people came to New England to meet him, like he was a celebrity. People asked him to read at colleges such as Amherst, Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, and Michigan (Schmidt 4-6). Everyone loved Robert Frost’s poems because they were so creatively made. All of his poems were accepted to be made into a book (Gerber). He moved to New England to publish his poems, since he was having trouble doing it in his hometown. He was a poet, essayist, and a critic. He is known for mastery of form and rhythm. He describes nature scenes with vivid imagery. His poems are about nature and life (Randall 63-64). A director from Pinkerton Academy heard Frost read his poems, the director was impressed. The director asked Frost to teach an english class two days a week. Frost gladly accepted because he needed the money (Schmidt 4-6). He was held in a federal mental hospital for treason due to his involvement with fascists in Italy during World War I. In 1960, Congress awarded Frost with the Congressional Gold medal. He was such an astonishing poet, he won four Pulitzer Prize awards (Robert Frost
