Before reading this book, I had no motivation, I didn’t think I could fulfil my dreams at this age. I wanted to learn to be more confident, work harder and learn from my past mistakes and I learnt just that, however, there were times when I was reading the book I felt that my life was very disorganised and there was no hope, at the start of the book Lilly reminds the readers to not be discouraged as this is a chance to grow and learn. I realised that if you want something you have to work hard for it. This book doesn’t contain fluffy, inspirational tumblr quotes or hopeful thoughts to make you feel good about yourself. He was taken away from his family years ago - but his family was “brainwashed,” so they can’t remember any sad things that have happened - so they have forgotten about what has happened to him.
