Imagine waking up in a hospital all alone, with no one around. What is running through your head? As you awake, you are confused; you don’t remember anything, as you take a walk looking for help, when you come across dead bodies. Beginning to panic, you get it together and wonder around the building. Reaching the doors to the real world, you proceed out into a deserted town. With a million thoughts running through your head, you think of your family. Are your loved ones okay? As you begin to wonder if a life threatening event occurred, you calm yourself down. Being left alone in a deserted down, you need to set your mind to the survival setting. If one wants to see their family again, they will have to fight like hell. Robert Kirkman proves that it is not easy, when Rick, the main character who is deserted, comes across many scary encounters with zombies. He did not give up, no one should give up on their family; however, he makes dangerous decision to go find them. By coming close to zombies, one can’t be scared of them. One must fight like it is their last breath. Sacrificing your own life to find your loved ones is very brave. One may not even know if their family is living, but one will continue to look until they are proven wrong. During a time like this it’s hard to stay positive, but one must remain calm, positive, and believe everything will be fine in order to survive. Throughout The Walking Dead, Kirkman provides many threatening events happening to Rick; however, he is rescued by a man and boy, then also by another boy in the city who takes him to his family. Imagine that moment, seeing your family after all this has happened. Such a magical moment, Rick seeing his wife and son. After one knows their family is safe in their arms, they will continue to protect them with all they got. Would you sacrifice your life to protect your loved ones?
