Call me but love, and I’ll be new baptized; Henceforth I never will be Romeo.” (II, ii, 49-51) Romeo is completely giving up his pride, his family name, and surrendering so he can love Juliet. Tybalt highlights this by disregarding anything that comes in the way of

Tybalt was the factor in Romeo and Juliet's death as he always had aggressive behavior toward the Montagues no matter what. Tybalt hated the Montagues and had no respect or remorse for them, such as he said, “What, drawn, and talk of peace? I hate the word, as I hate hell, all Montagues, and thee” (1, 1, 56-57). This shows the animosity he had towards them. This then leads to the house party the Capulets host and Tybalt saw the Montagues gate-crashing the party.

Tybalt is hot headed and rash. In the first act of Romeo and Juliet he is already starting fights as stated by him “What, drawn, and talk of peace? I hate the word / As I hate hell, all Montagues, and thee.”(1.1.63-64). Tybalt’s hate of peace is the most blatant example of his hot headed and rash actions. He is trying to get the Montagues riled up so that he can have a fight.
