As many of you all know the Roman empire fell about 1500 years ago for the last 300 years it slowly slipped away from the Roman’s grip. But their legacy will live on and I am here to tell you their most important legacy and how Rome fell. There are many legacies, but I will tell you my two most important ones and why they are my two most favorite ones. I will also tell you why Rome fell and how. Now here are the reasons Rome fell. The first reason Rome fell is because there was too much corruption and people like the guards would do anything for money. If they hired loyal guards that actually wanted to protect their country Rome may not have fell. Another reason that Rome fell is because it was too large to control and to communicate with the generals, kings, and other officials that were on the other side of the empire. To fix this they could have more generals and officials at one place at all times or split up to protect other parts of the country and meet up once a month or every 2 months. I believe art is one of their most important legacies because we use similar types of patterns like murals, frescoes, and mosaics. The reason I believe architecture is their most important legacy is because we use things similar to what they use such as arches, domes, and our sports stadiums have similar architecture to the Coliseum. The reason I do not think the other legacies are as important as these two is because some of them are not really important and they are just something people do not appreciate or care about. Another reason I think the other legacies are more important are because they aren’t nice to look at, while we like seeing art and architecture in our community because it looks nice to us.
