1. Shakespeare was truthful and accurate in the play Romeo and Juliet. During the time of the play, there was a bubonic plague. This plague was killing millions of people, destroying families, and causing there to be many fights amongst families of wealth. During the final Scene of the play Friar Lawrence caught the plague and he ended up not being able to transfer Romeo a message about the faked death of Juliet.
What happens when two families don't get along? Romeo and Juliet is a story about two families with a feud and forbidden love between their children. The Interlopers is a story about the Gradwitz family and the Znaeym family that have been fighting for three generations over land. Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare and The Interlopers by Saki are two stories about family feuds that have been going on for years. Although there are similarities and differences, both develop the theme that hatred solves nothing and leads to further tragedy and negative outcomes.
Have you ever wondered how life was like when schools were only for the privilege and Kings still ruled over cities. Well Romeo and Juliet tells of just that. In the story a man and a woman meet and instantly fall in love, but both of their families are in a fued which causes plenty of bloodshed and ultimately the death of the two lovers, now the question is who is to blame for the blood loss and tears shed for them? The first thing that came to mind was the feud between the two families.
Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet' was about two star-crossed lovers who wanted to live together happily. Sadly, the actions of other characters have greatly impacted the lovers. The characters are the two households, Montague and Capulet, Friar Laurence and Tybalt. The actions of the characters have lead Romeo and Juliet to there deaths.

Shakespeare uses the character Juliet to show how reckless young people can be. He shows this by using Phoebus from Roman and Greek mythology. “Gallop apace, you fiery-footed steeds, Toward Phoebus ' lodging” (Shakespeare). Phoebus is reckless and rushes into things just like Romeo and Juliet did. Romeo and Juliet met one day and then got married the next they were reckless about their love and life not getting the chance to know each other first.

Using juxtapositions help to provide a better perspective of the characters that are being portrayed. Not only will juxtapositions help the increase depth of knowledge to the audience about the characters, but it will create a sense of surprise. It will create a spark in the story that will increase the mystery and may advance a person's interest in the story. William Shakespeare uses many techniques in his play, Romeo and Juliet, to create a better chemistry between the audience and his characters.
Being selfish, by definition, is to have or show concern only towards oneself, and not paying attention to the needs of other people. This is shown multiple times in William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. One could argue that selfishness is to blame for the deaths of Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet. Romeo and Juliet have made decisions that have profited themselves, rather than their significant other. First of all, Romeo claims that Juliet “thrives his soul,” (Shakespeare; II.ii.156).
Juliet 's apparent death reveals the reactions and true emotions that her parents, The nurse and Paris felt towards her. They have to face obstacles just to find a way to be together and eventually have to secrednize their marriage. The characters Friar Lawrence, Romeo and Lord, Lady Capulet are primarily responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. They all have things they did that leads to Romeo and Juliet’s departness. Also, the decisions they made and the problems they caused such as ruining true love.
Each and every day, people make sacrifices for their loved ones. Maybe they choose to get up earlier in order to do chores or miss an important meeting so that they would have time for each other. There is no greater example of sacrifices for loved ones than in Romeo and Juliet however, where Shakespeare explores two star-crossed lovers, Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet, who come from two families that have a deep hatred towards each other. The pair meet each other, secretly wed, and then in order to stay together, commit suicide out of despair and distress. Through Romeo and Juliet’s acts of defiance and sacrifice, Shakespeare proves that while hate has the power to destroy and kill, love is even more powerful as it has the power to transform.
How does Shakespeare’s Portrayal of Romeo and Juliet’s relationship become so captivating for the audience? Act 2 scene 2 is one of the most important and well known scenes in Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’. In this scene, Romeo and Juliet openly declare their love for each other for the first time in the play, which is done partially in soliloquy and partially in dialogue. The atmosphere that Shakespeare creates in Act 2 Scene ii is one of excitement, expectation and a little fear on the part of the audience. In this scene the audience is aware that Romeo is trespassing not only onto the private property of another family, but also onto one of his mortal enemies’, and if he were to get caught he would immediately be murdered by the Capulet

Romeo and Juliet, written by William Shakespeare by 1595, epitomizes this common topic. The main characters of the play are two teenagers who fall in love at the first sight, however, the hatred between the families of the two leads to their death in the end. In the adaptation of Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet in 1996, Romeo and Juliet are portrayed more mature than in that of Baz Luhrmann in 1968.
