What happens when two families don't get along? Romeo and Juliet is a story about two families with a feud and forbidden love between their children. The Interlopers is a story about the Gradwitz family and the Znaeym family that have been fighting for three generations over land. Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare and The Interlopers by Saki are two stories about family feuds that have been going on for years. Although there are similarities and differences, both develop the theme that hatred solves nothing and leads to further tragedy and negative outcomes. First in both Romeo and Juliet and The Interlopers, the conflicts between the families have gone on for many years. In the beginning of Romeo and Juliet, a fight breaks out in the middle of the streets between the Montague and Capulets. In the story, Romeo and Juliet kill themselves because they can't live without each other. This means that they killed themselves for the love of each other, and because of this they never told their parents about the peace. In The Interlopers, Ulrich and Georg ended up being killed by wolves before they can tell anybody about the peace making. This means because they died that nobody will ever know about the peace they made. As I explained above, both stories are alike because the main characters die before they can tell their family about the peace making. In the both stories the conflicts between the families have been going on for many years, the main characters make peace, and the characters die before they can tell their families. The similarities and differences in Romeo and Juliet and The Interlopers help the theme that hatred causes tragedy and violence. In both stories the characters tried to make peace, but death do all part, until families realize and make
