We face many challenges in life, for example, some challenges are difficult physically, like climbing the highest mountain in the world, and some are mentally challenging, like being an air traffic controller. Ladies and gentlemen, can I tell you that one of the greatest challenges that you will ever face is that, of love. Romeo and Juliet is probably the most famous love story of all time, and love is naturally the main theme of the play. Despite being written over 400 years ago, Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet is still revelent today, as it explores the themes of love, and how love is a never ending roller coaster, full of ups and downs.
Once you have found your ‘true love’ it does not mean all your problems will just go away. Romeo Montague, a young man from an esteemed family in Verona, Italy, invites himself to the party at the House of Capulet, and across the room a beautiful girl, Juliet Capulet, catches his eye. Romeo and Juliet experience love at first sight. The only problem is that Romeo is in love with the daughter of the house of Montague, and likewise, Juliet is in love with Romeo who is the son of the enemy, the house of Capulet. This just shows that ‘true love’
