Do you think Romeo and Juliet is similar or different compared to Pyramus and Thisbe? Each story has actions in common, but also have many differences in the play that don’t relate them the two stories at all. In this essay, we’ll begin to look at some of the similarities of the two love stories, and then moving onto some differences and then which one of the two stories is better in our eyes. Both stories have many similarities. First off they are both love story's. As Romeo and Juliet were going to be together no matter what happened. Likewise, for Pyramus and Thisbe. Another resemblance is that they both died for each other. As Romeo says “Here’s to my love [Drinks.] O true apothecary! Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die” (Shakespeare 473). One of the first contrast between the stories is they don’t live next to each other. “ Semiramis, in houses so close together that one wall was common to both” (Edith 488).
