Romeo & Juliet and Pyramus & Thisbe have many things that are similar, but they also have many things that are different. The three things that these two narrative poems have in common or that is different from each other is, Plot, Characters and Conflict. The one thing that these two have in common is the plot. In the play “Romeo and Juliet”, the plot is about a young man named Romeo and a young woman named Juliet who are lovers and are planning to get married but a series of unfortunate events happens throughout the story. But at the end the two lovers commit suicide. Another comparison is, “Romeo and Juliet” is longer than “Pyramus and Thisbe”. The plot between the two stories are very similar but at the same time different.The thing that is different between these two stories is characters. In the story “Romeo and Juliet” they have a more larger set of characters while “Pyramus and Thisbe” has a smaller set of characters. Another thing that’s different between the two is their parents. In “Romeo and Juliet”, the two lover’s parents are enemies with each other while in “Pyramus and Thisbe” their parents are hardly mad with each other. The characters in “Pyramus and Thisbe” are more peaceful than “Romeo and Juliet” characters.The most commonly thing that these two stories have is the Tragedy. In “Romeo and Juliet”, it first began with the death of Mercutio. Mercutio death was only the beginning of the tragedy while the rest was continued by Tybalt’s death and Paris’s after, and at the end of the story they both commit suicide. In Pyramus and Thisbe, Thisbe ends up getting hunted by a lion who is trying to eat her. Pyramus hears the lion and ends up thinking that Thisbe is dead, so Pyramus grabs his dagger and stab himself do he could be with
