All actions are set in stone with fate. Romeo and Juliet two lovers meet at a party. They instantly fall in love with one another and vow to be together. Their actions will inevitably lead to their deaths and the deaths of others. Even though their love is strong, they are enemies at birth, living in rival houses and have to be secret in their affections. Their desire to be together will shape the course of their families and end the bloodshed. Juliet also saw Romeo at the party and they interacted. It was fate that led them to each other. When the servant came up to Romeo he said, “God gi’ good e’en. I pray, sir, can you read? Ay mine own fortune in my misery” (1.2.61-63). It was fate that had the servant who could not read come to Romeo with the list. After talking with the servant, Benvolio tells Romeo to go to the party to find new love instead of pursuing Rosaline, who vowed to chastity.
