Tragic immaturity Teens' immaturity is detrimental to their existence eventually leading to their demise. Immaturity in a teen's decisions can result in a tragic event. In The tragedy of Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet make rash and impatient decisions. The decisions that suddenly the married couple made have proven their immaturity due to their naive views on the world. Immature choices eventually result in the passing of Romeo and Juilet.
To begin with, Romeo is quick to fall in love. In act 1 Romeo was head over heels for Rosaline while after a quick glance, Romeo was instantly in love with Juliet. The Frier, Romeo's confidant, was shocked by the recent shift in lovers. “With Rosalie, my ghostly father? No, I have forgotten that name and that name’s woe.”(Shakespeare 2.3.45-46). Romeo falls into love too quickly resulting in attachment to Juliet causing him to make rash decisions. Romeo and Juliet have been killed in vain due to decisions the couple has made.
