Juliet is the only daughter of Lord Capulet and Lady Capulet. She’s a thirteen year old girl who isn’t interested in marriage, until she falls in love with Romeo. Throughout the book, Juliet makes questionable decisions. She is impulsive and dramatic. She’s dramatic when she says she’d rather die than not be with Romeo. She is impulsive when she decides to drink the sleeping potion, not knowing if the plan would work. She was willing to leave everyone behind for a boy she had known for not even a week. In Act 1, Scene 5, it was impulsive to kiss Romeo only seconds after they met. Theme The play Romeo and Juliet is about two teenagers who fall in love, but their families are enemies. The main theme in Romeo and Juliet is how hatred is destructive.
