Friar Lawrence attempted to warn Romeo and Juliet and told Romeo that they weren’t actually in love but that didn’t stop Romeo from pushing Friar Lawrence to marry him and Juliet. In Romeo and Juliet, Benvolio should be pardoned and Nurse and Friar Lawrence should be punished. Benvolio should be pardoned. Benvolio should pardoned because he just wanted to keep peace and didn’t want to harm anybody. “I do but keep the peace: put up thy sword, or manage it to part these men with me.” (1.1.82). Another reason why he should be pardoned is because he tried to stop the fighting at the beginning of the play. Another reason why he should be pardoned is because he was trying to cheer Romeo up by bringing him to the party. Benvolio told Tybalt to stop fighting fighting and to calm down and to keep peace so the Capulet/Montague feud can possibly end when Tybalt tried to fight Romeo at the Capulet party. This example proves that Benvolio should be pardoned because he was trying to stop everybody from fighting. Benvolio wanted to keep peace so that's why he should be pardoned. Nurse should be punished. Nurse should be punished because she knew that Romeo and Juliet were married and she didn’t tell anybody about it, so that caused all of this to happen. “Is your man secret? With all of the evidence stated, who would've thought that Nurse and Friar Lawrence would’ve been the reason for Romeo and Juliet dying. If everyone would of listened to Friar Lawrence, then everything would have turned out
