1. Shakespeare was truthful and accurate in the play Romeo and Juliet. During the time of the play, there was a bubonic plague. This plague was killing millions of people, destroying families, and causing there to be many fights amongst families of wealth. During the final Scene of the play Friar Lawrence caught the plague and he ended up not being able to transfer Romeo a message about the faked death of Juliet.

I visited MoMA.org where Tarsila do Amaral’s Inventing Modern Art in Brazil was on display. Tarsila was born in Capivari, São Paulo, Brazil in 1886, and was the second of five children. Her father, José Estanislau do Amaral, was a wealthy plantation owner. During this period wealthy young ladies were not normally educated; however, Tarsila was encouraged by her family to educate herself. In 1900, when the family moved to Barcelona, Tarsila was enrolled in school where she impressed faculty by replicating images from the school’s collection.
