Beautiful women, Princesses, and love struck women. What do all these have in common? Juliet and the lady (princess) all have these descriptions in common; they share the same qualities. I believe that Juliet from Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare and the Lady from the Lady or the Tiger by Frank R. Stockton are similar and different.
I think Juliet and the Lady are alike because they are very love struck. I believe this because in Romeo and Juliet, Juliet says, "Three words dear Romeo, and good night indeed. If thy bent of love be honorable, thy purpose marriage, send me word tomorrow," (Shakespeare II:ii:142-144). This quote is saying that she wants to marry him, and that means that she loves. In the Lady and the Tiger, it says, "This royal maiden was well satisfied with her lover, for he was handsome and brave to a degree unsurpassed in all this kingdom, and she loved him with an ardor that had enough of barbarism in it to make it exceedingly warm and strong," (Stockton p.47). This quote is showing that she loves him very much.
