Behold the Life of a Tragedy
Who is to blame for the disastrous deaths of Romeo and Juliet, people significant to the history of literature? Maybe it is the parents of the two. Maybe it is the children themselves, or maybe it is neither. In this play Written by Shakespeare, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, two lovers take their lives in a twisted way all because of the absurdity from the feud of the Montagues and the Capulets. This main characters in this play are Romeo, Juliet, Tybalt, Lady Capulet, Lord Capulet and Mercutio. The preposterous Tybalt, Benvolio, and Romeo himself are to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet due to their acts of selfishness and rage.

After Tybalt had just injured Mercutio in the battle that was not supposed to be with him, Mercutio states that wrath will be put on the families. He swore,“I am hurt/A plague a both houses! I am sped./ Is he gone and hath nothing?” (2.1.867) Tybalt never would have never been mad enough to attempt to kill Romeo, but instead Mercutio if he had not gone to the party. If Tybalt would not have killed Mercutio then Romeo would not have killed Tybalt, leading to him being banished and Juliet being distraught enough to fake her own death. To this end, Tybalt played a huge role in the death of Romeo and Juliet.
In total, Benvolio, Romeo and Tybalt’s actions led to the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Without the abbreviated temper of them all, the tragedy of the deaths could have been prevented. Without a doubt, they are to blame for the disastrous ending of this pulchritudinous love story.
