The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet Many people know how the Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet ended, but many people don't know exactly why it ended that way. William Shakespeare had written The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, but he didn’t want the readers to to know how the book was going to end. The title does say that it is a tragedy, but he wrote it to the point where it almost seems like the two lovers just might make it. He does this by introducing many character, such as, Romeo, Juliet, Friar Lawrence, Mercutio, Lord Capulet, Lord Montague, Nurse, and finally Tybalt. It isn’t just Romeo and Juliet's fault, but it is also the other characters too, but there are some people that made it seem like it was more of their faults, then the others, such as the two lover’s parents. Romeo was a teenage boy, who was just getting over a girl. At the Capulet’s party, the very first second he saw Juliet, he fell in love with her. He already forgot about Rosaline, in the same day. He also had the same characteristics of Juliet, they both were young and didn't knew what they were doing. Romeo spilled his guts to Juliet about how much he loved her, but did he really? Earlier that day he was in so much pain about Rosaline. Once he over heard Juliet talking about how much she loves him, he couldn't control himself. “Ay, pilgrim lips that they must use in Prayer.” 1.4.101. They both are so in love, that they forget about the conflict between their two families. If Romeo would have slowed down a little bit, they probably could have worked something out, and talked to each other's families, but they try to have a relationship in secret. Romeo was a couple years older than Juliet, so he should have known better about rushing a relationship. That is why is partially his fault for their
